The Benefits that Come with Clean Air

It may be a sad fact but it is true. The currently available air that we breathe is dirty and every day it gets worse. Even the air in our homes is dangerous to our health. This air is as much as five times more harmful and polluted than the air you have in the most polluted metropolis

Due to the increased demand for energy efficient homes we have succeeded in blocking out room for ventilation in order to allow the different pollutants that plague our homes escape. You find it quite rare these days to see people who will open their windows in order to allow air out of thee house regularly. In the past this activity was so beneficial but we didn’t realize this fact until now.

Families today suffer from much more illnesses such as cold, flu, bronchitis, pneumonia as well as other problems that are associated with respiratory issues such as an increase in the development of allergies and asthma. The air that we breathe both inside and outside our homes is replete with allergens and pollutants that our bodies are unable to get free from. This way we suffer from the disadvantages of this fact by being unable to breathe easily.

Some of the greatest culprits and pollutants which cause a number of respiratory problems in our families may include:

Household Odors and Gases:

Kitty litter dust, tobacco smoke, indoor pesticides and aerosols, among others are listed here. These are all capable of causing mild breathing problems when your are exposed to them on a constant basis.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s):

We tend to find different of these harmful compounds in things such as paint, varnish, cleaning supplies, disinfectants, glues, adhesives and in carpeting and furniture as well. Other ingredients may include benzene, chloride, formaldehyde and ethylene can affect us by irritating the eyes as well as the nose, throat and the airways. Chronic health conditions may result such as damage to and individuals’ nervous system.

Microorganisms:

Antigens, pathogens, bacteria, mold and viruses can all be found in the air we breathe and make us sick.

With these facts you get an understanding of why clean air is important and what is the best way that you can handle the various effects of existing pollutants. The best thing according to experts is for you to install an air purifier of good quality in your home and your office. This will help get rid of all these dangerous pollutants from where you live and work. It is important to have good ventilation and air out your home on a regular basis as well. You shouldn’t always rely solely of machines to get the job done.
