The third oversight I would like to discuss is technology. There is quite a variety of air purifiers on the market today and while all these companies are claiming that their unit is the best, the process in which the unit cleans and purifies your indoor air may actually be causing more harm than good to your health. Some units use a process which involves the use of ozone to purify the air inside your home. Studies conducted by the Environmental Protection Agency have shown that units using ozone to purify your indoor air may not only be ineffective but dangerous to your health.
